This program didn’t really allow me to learn much of anything about myself. I find that it is difficult to learn more about who you are and what you want to do when the majority of the field trips that we went on were situations where I chose whichever option looked the best, which often just meant least boring. There were only a few that I actually wanted to go on, and those didn’t teach me much. I think it is difficult in Durango to get examples of what certain jobs might look like in other places, because Durango is very different from a lot of other places where people may end up living and working in the future. I suppose it could have reinforced for me that I do not want to remain in Durango, but that isn’t a new learning for me. My top career pathway I am interested in is STEM. This was reaffirmed by the Naviance survey, but it was not new. The field trips did not really influence this either.
